Women with hard work and aptitude are the ultimate qualities, which guarantees one’s survival, growth and success in any industry. For this reason, Women International Shipping & Trade Association (WISTA) was formed which was welcomed by the logistics industry and given due respect and appreciation.
WISTA India will be hosting “South Asia Women Forum” in association with Maritime Gateway and Colombo Maritime International Conferences. This forum will be held on September 7th at The Lalit, Mumbai, India in concurrence with South Asia Maritime & Logistics Forum 2017, with “Women transforming Shipping: Breaking the Glass Ceiling ” as theme, this forum will focus on Women Leadership and how women are steering the organizations in a challenging environment of this century in shipping industry women
About: The WISTA is an organization built by and for women leaders as a non-profit organization, providing a networking platform for women in management positions involved in shipping, ship owners, trading houses, port authorities, chartering, ship management companies, lawyers etc. Women in Logistics & Supply Chain may well be the dominant source of economic growth in the near future and organizations that are able to capitalize on the roles of women.
WISTA believe this South Asia Maritime & Logistics Forum platform will play a prominent role in bringing deep insights of maritime infrastructure, focus on opportunities, and bring meaningful relationships along growth of Women empowerment in Logistics & Supply Chain sector.
